Capped iBurst

When iBurst is capped to 64k is it really faster then sentech 256k or 128k atleast???and at 64k what download speeds can i expect???

It all depends. In some cases it probably is faster than Sentech! You'll get about 4 - 8kB/s download speeds, depending on your connection. Capped accounts are usually constant at 64kb/s.

Well what speeds do you think you can expect at around 64kb, my scientific calculation work that out to be around 8Kb/s

but seriously, it does work out to about that speed, even higher on multi-threaded downloads, and that nice hub to play with and it doesnt affect your 8Kb/s for international or non iBurst local.

Why dont you do some tests with your current Sentech (if you still have that) and see how people here's capped speeds/latency compares? Btw, latency obviously stays the same when you are capped as when uncapped.

64k is fine, just don't load too many pages at the same time

Normally i get between 8KB and 10 KB constant when capped

In short, you'll get the same speed as a standard ISDN line. I've never worn out my cap. Can't stand the thought of going back to such slow speeds.

It's slow in terms of 3 PCs simultaneously hammering the connection, but for one user at a time it's very reasonable.
