Hello all

Is it not 200% anymore?:confused:
I was capped today on my 3 gig account

According to our records your total online usage as at [2007-12-14 00:00:01] has reached and exceeded both your service threshold and our collective service threshold.
Combined total : 4.18GB
Service threshold : 3.00GB
Percentage used : 139.41%


This action has resulted in your username being disabled until the end of the month. During this period you will only have access to the following:

I am reading here that people download much more --- what is wrong

This is really s...:(
Last month I used less than half of my 2 accounts ---- not enough that our power gets cut off all the time ....:sick:
 
Just to be clear... is this TelkomInternet? Can you access local websites?
 
Yep I have been capped at 5.9GB on a 3GB account(telkom internet)....the reset modem thing allowed me full access again for 24hrs.....but I was capped again. At this point I had full local access....no international...although local seemed a little slow.

Used TI's top up.....1Gig=R67, so I'm back up and running again. Incidently, the Telkom Internet top-up thing took about 2 mins.

If you get hard capped on international it is better to get a prepaid voucher from another ISP, that way you can still use your TI connection for local and the prepaid voucher for international only and not waste the TI top up on local access.
 
LOL..I was happily surfing this morning on Do2 until a Eskom load-shed. When the power came back on, the router received a 165.xxx address.
User-stats indicate 2.554GB total usage, where I got over 5GB in November.

Well, the power went out for another 25min and after it came back on, the router had an 41.xxx IP, and I'm back surfing internationally again.

Thank you....Eskom :confused:

total cap no local or international, reset did not help.
I am running fine on my Mweb account but retry telkom every so often, and still no local :(
I guess it is not an even playing field, but then telkom never is.
