When i was little i had the idea for every car to be able to 'hail' another using a unique number painted on their back windscreen or w/e with some sort of in-car radio (CB ftw!).

You can then 'ring up' the other driver and tell him/her they're driving like a chop or even if you're from out of town and dont know what offramp to take you could quickly ring the car next to you.

But yea, that was before the days of GPS and it was only until i was much older that i realised how badly a system like that could be misused :\

Still...mmm

I always thought we should have these Bluetooth or wireless little pods on the side of the road that can relay information about the conditions over the next few kilometers (until the next pod) ... Weather, visibly, accident, traffic etc

I thought of electronic banners, those red text boards they use at airports.
Can say sorry, hi, ***** you, catch me if you can etc

Saw an insert on ignition, cars of the future will have status updates, that's lame, but sort off car to car communication.
