hi jack
So I have a 4 x 300w amp, whit 2 channels bridge for a 600w sub. The thing is if gone through about 4 subs in the last 3 years. Wouldn't it just be easyer and cheaper to buy a 1000w sub so the amp cant blow it ?

by quality equipment and you won't have to keep replacing it. Rather buy a more powerful amp and turn the gain down so that it doesn't cause any clipping on the sub and you should be fine

Also check the ohm rating when you bridge the amp, could be 4 ohms per chanel then when you bridge it, it drops to 2, doubling the rms rating. If you are buying another sub make sure to check how many watts rms the amp has in bridged mode, then get a sub close to that rating.

don't ever use an amp or sub to its full capacity, only if its RF then you can do eeet...
