Wasn't too sure where to post this, but I figured this might be the best place.
I want to buy a new cd player for my car, but I'm not too sure what to get. Any recommendations?
I would prefer to pay no more than around R700, and if possible it must have a memory card slot.

try hifi corp...i normally wouldn't buy anything there, but i have previously bought 3 there with no issues

Me no expert. I feel it is more a matter of where you can get than what you can get.
By that I mean, if you find a place with a large selection, any brand name will do, if you find your price matches with the features available.
By that I mean, should you go to a Flea market type establishment, you will find a large selection of available brand names. I frequently buy from these places, and have yet to have a problem with any head unit bought.

Go to www.autostyle.co.za and peruse their selection. It will give you a good idea of hat is available. I find it important to always buy a unit with RDS tuning (auto-tune on station, + station identification), you do get cheap units with usb and mp3 and whatnot, without RDS.

So look at RDS, and USB slot. If brand name is not important, go to a Cash Crusaders (the blue guys?), and look at their Dixon range.
