my car has only one usb, and one aux port...... I use the usb for android auto.

I want my USB music in the car also, I just copied it to phone sd for now and i listen through AA using musicolete.

If i still want to access my usb, would this cable work ????? or would i still need external mp3 player ???? will the car pick up the usb ??

Thanks

YouTube music..?
Spotify..?
The other streaming services available out there..?

Why complicate things with all these cables and adapters..?

Use a streaming service, download your music to your phone and continue to play through AA..

To answer your question, your usb device will need power and I doubt, though stand corrected, that that cable you want to buy will be able to power the usb device..

I also don't think this would work given power issues.

I would suggest you try a usb hub
ie: 1 Male to 2 or more females
Its cheap enough to try and you probably have a hub lying around at home

Still old school, WAslayer....

actually, the way i am using it now (phone sd and AA) works fine i guess..... and then i found this

Can You Listen to Music With a USB-to-Aux Cable? (lifewire.com)

"In the case of a USB flash drive, what you have is passive storage media that holds song data, but it can’t do anything with that data. When you plug the drive in the USB connection of a compatible head unit or infotainment system, the head unit accesses it just like your computer would. The head unit reads data from the drive and can play the songs because it has the right firmware or software to do so.

When you plug a USB flash drive into a USB-to-aux cable and plug the cable into an aux port on a head unit, nothing happens. The thumb drive is incapable of outputting an audio signal, and the aux input on the head unit is incapable of reading the digital information stored on the drive."

I had a look at this type of cable before. The car stereo needs to support USB through 3.5 mm jack.
Most car stereo dont have this feature.

This is what it says under description of these products
"1.Not all the car with this interface can use this kind of cable. Some car AUX without decoding function, so can only use MP3 device, (only car AUX interface have the function of read USB disk can use this kind of cable)"
