I am getting rid of my 2004 Peugeot 206 in the next 2 weeks because it is becoming a nightmare. (Spend almost 10K on it in the last 2 months)

I can probably spend about 160 - 170K, looking at something small and economical, just to take kids to school/get to work and back. Probably wont be doing much freeway driving as im in PE.

The current 2nd hand market is brutal but I cannot wait any longer. Ive been looking at Polos, but a 2016 1.2 TSI with 200K/2015 Polo Vivo with 150K on the clock is around 150K, which seems INSANE to me.

There are a lot of 1/2 year old Suzuki Swifts and Dzires around that price range with +/- 20 000 KM on the clock, which seems like a much better buy

Please help me make a decision before I go insane by spending another hour looking at cars.

Get yourself a van. With kids they are an absolute no-brainer. Sliding doors are the red-pill that completely changes your point of view on the world when you are a parent.

Get the newest Corolla quest/Honda jazz/Vw polo in your budget. Suzuki is a good reliable car but it’s made of tin and you are the crumple zone in an accident. Just note for Honda and to an extent Hyundai and Kia, the most parts except service items are agents only e.g control arms for a Honda Amaze is R8500.
