Hi All

One month to the day of taking ownership of my new Ford Figo I go and open my passenger door and hit the wall at my house!! A nice big, fat chip of my white paint has come off tight on the edge of the door frame and the silver below is showing through. I'm not going to go through insurance for it and was wondering if I could be really "cheapskate" and use white nail varnish to touch it up?

I'm so disappointed in myself!!!!

I can't find touch up pens anywhere (and China Town Ottery has these pens that don't look like they will hold). What's a girl to do??

Thanks, as always!

Ask your ford dealer if they have touch up paint.

Yeah get some touch up from the dealer.

Or take it to one of these minor scratch & dent shops...the names all elude me having had a few beers now but they are easy to find.

Also if this is a regular spot you stop in put a stretch of rubber on the wall to prevent it down the line.

Ask your ford dealer if they have touch up paint.

My most disappointing experience with BMW so far was that they dont make touch up kits. Audi had no problem with that, just had to tell them the paint colour, but BMW say a panel beater will have to help.

Thanks all!
I bought a white car so it would be easier to touch up. Plain white, no metallic as I previously had metallic silver and it was a nightmare to get sorted with paint!!
I had no idea the dealerships would have touch up paint!!
I will definitely go and get some there!!

I'm also going to find me a pool noodle and I'm putting it on the wall!!

Thanks for the help!

If you try and touch up, you going to see a blob of paint all the time every time.

Just leave it and let that be a lesson to always look after your car.
