Hey,
This happened to me twice. My car just went all dead on me,swoped batteries but no luck. Its a 2l nissan sentra
ahhh found the problem... maybe change that part it might be worn out by now
But in all seriousness give more details does it refuse to start or does it just die while driving?
Do the lights still work after it dies?
Check each spark plug for spark. Do you service it regularly? Fuel filter clogged? Like I said before, I have seen MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) issues on the sentra 160Si. They can be cleaned, but very carefully.
When you say the car went dead on you what do you mean?
Were you driving and it suddenly cut out?
Did it simply not start one day after being off?
Did it work with a new battery and what happened after installing a new battery?
Does the alternator work correctly?
Get a voltage meter and get a reading from the battery before you start it. (12.6-12.8v)
Start the car and measure the voltage again. should be 13.5-14.8V. If not, the Alternator is not charging.
