I'd get it checked, could be a small fix like a radiator cap or something, that can save you a lot of headache.

What should be done according to the manual? If there are cambelts and stuff make sure you take it to a proper place.

I don't know, mine does the slurping now and again and has done that for years, I have never given it a second thought, it does that, as well as the relay sound and it start first time when I turn the key. I think maybe do the service and change the fuel filter and see how it goes.

Slurping noise - Trying to suck petrol from an empty tank ?

That's how I gauge how much petrol I have, the time the longer the pump goes bzzzzz vs hmmm tels me if I can go from here to the corner or home once or twice.
