Car MP3 Fm Modulator

I just bought one of these cigarette lighter MP3 players but for the life of me
the darn thing can't pick up a clear signal. Anyone have any experience with this?

Have you tried adjusting the transmitting frequency? Most of these devices have a few transmission frequencies. I got mine to work relatively clear but you can still hear the characteristic hiss of a radio transmission.

I've gone through all frequencies, everytime I think its clear I get a terrible hiss of static. I think it's probably cause the radio is sensitive.

I had the same problem, could not get it to pick up a clear signal.

I experienced load high frequency hiss when I used the device in a car with amps and splits etc. No matter what I tried I never got the thing to work.

did you rememebr to plug in the transmitting antenna?

It's a USB plug on mine

I never saw one in my packaging, think I'll double check tonight.
I just took the remote out and the player and audio cable didn't see anything else.

Not all units have the transmitting antenna externally though, so it might be a long shot.
