Car re-licence cost.

Hi all.

That time of the year again to renew my car licence and I looked at the statement sent to me, and what i have noticed the administration fees are R36 apart for the fees for the car licence which is R360.

Last year I think is about R25 for admin fees. So what i am getting at does anybody pay attention to these rising admin fees and has anybody complained about it, also who decide what percentage this admin fees go up by.

Anybody who works in the licencing department hopefully can justify these prices. By the way i live in Joburg, will be interesting to have some input from other areas what the admin fees are for car licence renewal.

Think the rise in cost is due to the Post Office - I renew my license at the local PO and simply walk in and out.

Might be due to the outsourcing that costs had to increase?

The admin fee you talk about was for the ENATIS system that was implemented a few years ago.
Nothing to do with the post office.

government charging more and more fees on stuff year on year? no way. Next thing you tell me is that car and house prices also went up?!

Aah... forgot about that 'lovely' system... thought taxes paid for it...
