I've been thinking...I'm getting some dividends at the endo f the month...since the insurance don't cover that dent the other dirver made when he/she opened their door against my car, and the roads are so bad that my front end has so much chips...how much would it be to respray the front end...bumper, bonnet and fenders and the rear bumper and take out the dent (which dent doctor cannot take out)???

The dent is in the slit/seam, so its not an easy dent fix...its not big at all, probably 20cm but you can hardly see it, but as we all know, you know your car and you can see defects...

I think I should take it for a second opinion at other places that remove dents... Last quote I got was around R2000 to remove the dent...i.e, panelbeat and respray and around R2200 for the front end respray...just a grit, primer and respray and no dent repairs thus its so cheap...So I'm looking at around R5000 all in all...

I really want to do this now as I've set this out far too long now...

Whats the prices I can expect? Is R5000 reasonable for work like this?

:D

I did that same thing on my Astra back in January. It had a few dents that needed to be taken care of and some respraying as well. Total cost was about R4200 at Selfords in Stellenbosch. The most expensive item was the paint, they are not to heavy on the labour charges, so I think your quote is pretty reasonable.
