Hi folks,

Any ideas on where to get a set of audio removal keys in Cape Town?

Ford Fiesta 2006 with the factory standard CD 6000 double-din stereo system.

for once of use, maybe visit your local audio installation shop. they might help you out.

Stick 4 pieces of wire in the holes and pull it out.

Edit: Found this vid on YouTube. This guy used a coat hanger:

I used 4 small screwdrivers on a renault clio... no need to buy since you will only use em once or twice

Hey guys

The Ford Fiesta 2006 model uses four flat keys. Be careful as the metal clips get bent easily if you push / pull without them being released enough.

We do stock the keys and can post / courier. Otherwise visit any Ford dealer or reputable sound fitment centre such as Loud & Clear in Tableview, Soundmatch branches or Car HiFi Centre in Diep River.

VW Polo has 4 thin slots on the older radios.
Cut up a credit card into correct width for slots and insert them in all 4 slots at once.
Works perfectly.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

@TremorAudio: Damn, I actually ordered the aux cable from you guys, haha! I should have asked about these before getting it shipped. Will go with Car HiFi in Diep River as that's fairly close to my home. Thanks :)

Shucks! You should have said, they're R60 a set :)

Just ask Shafick at CarHiFi, he's a really nice guy to assist.

Just for info for anyone else, the keys have a groove cut out to enable them to lock fully into the radio locking mechanism (you can't then pull the key out while its in). Then you to turn the key to the left once inserted to move the locking mechanism inwards towards the radio chasis.

Update: Shafick at CarHiFi in Diep River sorted me out. A real nice guy, as you said! :)

I could be wrong, but if you press the right sequence of buttons the unit will auto-eject from the dash.
