Car Trailer Hire

Any suggestion on where to hire a car trailer? and what it costs +-?
Need to move a Land Rover from JHB to PTA.

That is a seriously heavy load. You will need a braked trailer.

I have personally used Trailer rent in PTA-West. Cheap was around R 140 (or was it R 240 ?) a day for a double axle trailer.

Edit: Sorry it was West Trailers not trailer rent

Make sure you have a code EB license btw. Though, car + trailer + landrover probably exceeds 3500kg - so you probably need an EC license

What will you be pulling it with?
Add 500kg or so for the car trailer and you'll be skating a fine line...

And the irony is that I hate towing trailers/caravans
I refuse to tow another car unless that driver knows how to handle a towed car. Must brake/slow for both!

The further irony is that I DON'T have an EB license, due to my SA license expiring, yet I can alley dock 2 ton keelboats quite happily.

I think the issue is the GCM.

EB Articulated vehicles with gross combination mass (GCM) of 3 500 kg or less; and vehicles allowed by Code B but with a trailer with GVM greater than 750 kg.

Though, reading that it's ambiguous :/
