Good afternoon,

I am in need of some advice, I have recently just bought a Honda Accord 2.4l EXL. The car is in goodcondition apart from quite nasty chips all around the car that I have been advised will only be able to be fixed through a panel beater (not sure how that works)

I am thinking about getting the car wrapped to obviously hide these chips but also i'm not a fan of the colour. Now the problems comes in whether to plastidip or wrap the car properly.. I know the plastip is alot cheaper but does it last??

Any suggestion would be appreciated..

Any one wrapped part of their car to protect against stone chips ETC. ? .

Vinyl is so expensive I've considered just respraying when needed

Vinyl will also suffer in the sun... Treated or not.

First take it to a proper detailer and do a 2-step polish and wax and see if you can live with how it looks, will be under a grand. It won't take out the chips but you'll be amazed at the difference.

If it still looks bad then find a decent panel beater and do a respray, vinyl/wrap/plastidip all look utterly shyte.

Where you based. In Gauteng - try Chips Away in PTA (centurion / menlyn). Let them have a look. They can color match and dust just the affected area.

Thanks for all the advice,

Has anyone maybe have a ball park figure to get a car resprayed...

When I took my car for a polish the guy said 2-2.5k to do my bonnet as there's some clearcoat damage that only a respray can fix. No idea if that's the standard going rate though.

Would work out approx 25k for the whole car on that figure
