The forum is practically dead today, so I'll start a thread on carbs :D

We all get the craving every now and again, even though it ought not to be a major part of our diets.

So, what kind of carb eater are you?

1. Bread
2. Rice
3. Potatoes in all its forms
4. Pasta
5. Porridge
6. Couscous
(not too sure if it falls under carbs, though!)

Actually bluno carbs are fine and we need them for energy, to much is a problem.

When i cut carbs out my life i felt very bad and had no energy. Then i went and bought some cheese rolls and have never looked back

I eat rolls, bread potatoes :) all in moderation of course :)

I eat pizza and pasted 3 times a week :)

Carbs are your main source of energy as the body processes it easily for energy.

Eat too much carbs, your body stores it as fat. Eat too little and you'll lack energy and probably lose weight.

That's why those protein diets work, but that doesn't make it healthy. Your body doesn't process and use all the calories in protein for energy, so you lose weight. But it's still really unhealthy.

Years ago, I cut white bread from my diet and it made a change. Still love carbs though, but it would be great to go on a protein diet for two months or so!

Interestingly, I gym about 4 times a week and I found that after a session, I crave fruit. I thought it would be something sweet or carbs, but no - fruit!

I love my carbs, but then again, I am pretty active as well so it keeps it all in balance.

Blu, what difference did you feel from cutting out white bread? That might not have been a carb thing but rather more of a "cutting out the cr@p they put in white bread" thing...

I had no intention of losing weight, but eating only brown, rye or wholewheat had weight loss as a side effect. For which every woman is happy, intended or not :D

And yes, they put crap in white bread. Some kind of gooey substance, glue or something.

Brown bread is not much better, it just has fibre as far as i know

Rye bread is your best bet to get away from the rubbish, so i have heard.

Imma #4

But nigga please... ANYTHING is NOT GOOD FOR YOU if you eat TOO MUCH of it. In all things there must be balance, otherwise you end up fat.

In my case... I'm more inclined to be fat because I love being on the evil side. Balance is for idiots

You forgot rice....the main food of millions.

I like noodles (cooked) + cheese + those tomatoes mix tins. All that in the microwave =

Busy eating one of those ready-cooked spar meals atm. Not bad actually...chicken breast stuffed with spinach & cheese.:)

Rice is the staple of most people. HOW COULD I LEAVE IT OUT? Fixed it!
