"I opt for this way of thinking yes. Life's too short anyway. You could develop cancer from a microwave then again...you could get hit by a PUTCO bus tomorrow."
Now you see, that is EXACTLY the mentality that got this country to the ****spraying fountain it is now. All the starving, AIDS-ridden millions, all thinking "hey, tomorrow I might be dead, so let's rape this girl, let's murder this guy and steal his money, let's vote ANC because they're giving out bread. Today"
And the BEE political leaders and businessmen thinking "****, I got here by being black, not by working hard, so what does it matter if I lose my position to earn a few bucks by skimming off the top, stealing taxpayer money, when tomorrow I might die?"
A gardener, or rather "landscape engineer", who gets paid R 3000 a month gets the chance to rape his owner and steal R 1000 because he gets that money TODAY. NOW NOW NOW, must HAVE! In fact, that is the mentality that caused the credit crunch. People not willing to work BEFORE buying. Rather buy and THEN work.
Maybe you're well off and happy one day, in your fifties, and would love to live another 30 years when, BAM, brain cancer or breast cancer and you're dead in a year, all because you were negligent or had a "don't give a **** about tomorrow" attitude.
Great mentality Serqet. I understand your argument but that is also the mentality that got the entire continent to its ****hole status.
