Please remember, and I have mentioned this before on this site...the merchant slip you leave with the retailer has the full card number and exp date on it, all that is needed to memorize is the ccv number on the back. The slip the merchant gives you has only the last 4 numbers but the other slip the merchant keeps has the full number. We got an updated machine at work last week, I must check my merchant slips on Monday to see if this new machine also prints the whole number.
