Care to explain web africa

I was considering them, thanks for the alert. I'll take my business to AfriHost capped, I'm seeing a lot of positive comments about them

Afrihost capped is quite alright if you want to move data over P2p or similar. If you want to stream stuff not cached locally or if you care even one bit about packet loss, jitter and stable latency to intl servers, look at other ISPs.

Im not even a download whore, i do like maybe 100-120Gb a month when im trying. This is just my streaming from my studies and netflix and odd gaming. Just gonna migrate to capped.

Web Africa's capped accounts are great ;)

If you can set up your router to half-bridge mode and run a WA capped account for gaming only, that works like a bomb. Use AH for the downloading then.

As i said, i dont download, stuff i use is real time and mostly streams, fked if im gonna sit up at 2am in the morning studying differential calculus.

You pays your money and makes your choice. I struggle streaming 1mbps to EU news streams over my 10mbps DSL with Afrihost. Change to WA and it runs like it's meant to. Gaming to intl servers sees rubber banding, jerkiness and being kicked intermittently on AH. Local gaming on AH is fine. If you can manage two accounts, split it up, If not, choose what works best for you.

Care to explain how 29Gb of usage on an uncapped product gets me down rated to three stars??? You can expect a cancellation notice.

Hi Semaphore,

I have received your PM and taken a look into your usage and out of the 29.70gb you've used on the past 10 days only 1.47gb was used in 12-6am download plus (DL+) and the rest was during business and after-hours. That is the main reason for the jump to 3 stars and all our home uncapped accounts are designed for downloading to take place in DL+ but a 3 star is not really a bad rating and will only affect your daytime experience. Your rating will drop down once you push/schedule all downloads for DL+.

LOL, you mention business hours and after hours and DL+ hours. Please specify when each of these times are. Already know DL+ is midnight to 6AM.

Thanks i've already cancelled, i would rather be shafted with a rusty pole. The fact you hold people ransom to a months calendar notice is just **** business practice, now i have to endure another month of that **** account.

Where will you be going?

Fatpipe capped, either 150 or 200gb, depends will have to see.

Hmm, that doesn't seem right, a while back you said Web Africa capped is not worth it because of the price.

Vox 200GB - R639 // Web Africa 400GB - R599

Of course Web Africa split their data, but still...just saying, plus you wouldn't have to wait out two months, you can switch over to a capped product on the 1st.

Thats the issue I have with their capped product. I don't want data between 00h00 - 06h00.

Not fighting, as I totally agree with you, but I think according to many a ISP, business hours are from 6AM to midnight. So technically, it was in "business hours".

many a ISP = Afrihost dude

normal business hours for the rest

You do know 3stars is still perfectly usable right?
