Bad news for IT jobs in South Africa

Hiring activity in the information technology (IT) sector has declined by 14% over the past three months, according to CareerJunction's March 2023 Employment Insights report.

CareerJunction noted that recruitment activity over the past month has increased by 8%, partly due to increased demand in the IT sector. However, being very recent, these increases in hiring activity aren't reflected in its three-month analysis.

Coz peeps (like myself) are now working for overseas companies.
No BEEEEEEEEEEEE rubbish, no working 250 hours a week for crap pay, no doing 20 other jobs that you don't get paid for, etc, etc.

Didn't they say IT was up like 500% 5 months ago? So it slowed down to 476% since August last year?

Bad news indeed!

Mainly skills shortage and SA IT companies not paying what you should be getting. Been down that road a few times so is just my opinion.

It still sucks to see another declining figure on our SA list of declining things!!!
