Anyone other backers get their beta last night? It only finished downloading sometime during the early morning hours so I haven't had a chance to play it yet and am now stuck at work till after 7pm tonight

Yep the original developers did a Kickstarter (feels like ages ago) finally there is a beta out:

This makes my happy, remember me and my friend pouring hours into the original carmageddon.
It is also the game from where I got my nick from.

Pretty sluggy but I think that's my old gfx card. Model quality and physics are good, looking forward to more levels.

Cunning Stunt bonus! Always had to pronounce that very very carefully. Kept saying Stunning...

The mechanics are just as good. The one level is not complete yet so some textures are missing. The people are now models not sprites so they have the rag doll effect unless they're ripped to pieces
