Pretty damn awesome blog post compiled by Larry Moran, professor of biochemistry at the University of Toronto.

Welcome to the carnival! This is one of the biggest Carnivals of Evolution we've ever had. It's an exciting and colorful parade of articles about evolution from the month of July 2011.

The last Carnival of Evolution was published on The Lessons of Evolution. For the next one (September 1, 2011) send your submissions to Carnival of Evolution. In case you don't know what a blog carnival is all about, here's a very informative FAQ: Blog Carnival: Frequently Asked Questions.

I hope you enjoy #38. I grouped all the submissions into several categories to make it easier for you to find something of interest. You really should try to scan everything even though this is a very, very, long posting. I think it's the biggest one ever on Sandwalk.

Lots of interesting reading here

well I've met a couple of folk whom I believe evolved from apes, some from pigs and some from donkeys, even a snake or two.

Jokes aside.
Evolution is nothing but a most-sad attempt at anti-theism.
Now I'm convinced the usual suspects (atheists & evolutionists) will throw the odd flame or two my way but unfortunately none of them have provided the required evidence of macro evolution.
Because it simply doesn't exist.

If it did, the fossil record would be utterly inundated with millions upon millions of transitional fossils.
If evolution is in fact a non-intelligent driven process then there should be millions of "in-between specie" fossils.
Indeed, there should be 1000000 x more transitional fossils than non-transitional.
Instead, what do we find?

Simply fossils of the VERY SAME extinct species.

lol, every fossil is a "transitional" fossil.

RPM counter indicates eyes revolving at 30 000 rpm (on the red line).

So evolution is bullschit why exactly? Considering this is a science forum either provide a scientific alternative that fits the evidence or go away because "I LUVZ DA BIBLEZ" is not welcome here.

All your post proves is that you know absolutely ****-all about how fossils form.

Technically in the theory of evolution there is no such thing as transitional fossils. Every living thing IS in a state of transition...continuously. This however does not make your comment less viable, in fact it's strengthening it even more.

Well, actually, every fossil is transitional.

And his 'argument' is not strengthened, as there is no argument, all that post was doing is illustrating that forumite's monumental lack of understanding.

How does it make the comment no less viable? It makes the comment completely whackadoo.

The guy made an epic mistake with regards to evolution. This alone makes his comment less viable.

Please post your query in the PD section. You have no business here.

Oi! I'm quite happy not to have such crap in PD. :p

But now we're allowing non-science (non-sense?) in the Science section

This is the mods' fault isn't it? This is what happens when we don't get our sticky

How about a troll vault sub-forum?
We should be deleting the troll stuff not putting it in another subforum.

While being anti-science is utterly stupid we can't prevent people from being anti-science. They must just be anti-science elsewhere. That rubbish definitely belongs in PD and PD alone.

Hey, take it up with Copa. I don't know where this stuff's supposed to go anymore.

I have done you a dis-service by not replying to this OP (blame the troll). GREAT link. It's a veritable treasure trove.

I thought so, which is why I posted it in the first place. :p Even the knobbiest of knobs could learn something from that link, but I guess actually learning anything is frowned upon once you reach the upper echelons of knob-dom.

*sigh*

You are of course right. Lets stop focusing on the turds and start discussing our favourite parts of this wonderful resource pointed out to us by enigma.

The article about moving Archaeopteryx out of Aves after the discovery of Xiaotingia I found particularly interesting. A very cool link.
