Cars from Botswana

You cant...

Only way is if the car was yours for more than X years while you lived in Botswana, If you are moving back to SA.

We have extremely restrictive laws in SA on car Importation. That is to protect our over priced car manufacturing industry...

Agreed. The red tape and legislation is much and thick. SA also doesn't allow "grey" imports from countries like Japan. These imports pass through our country to the likes of Botswana.

You have got to be joking! Today, I have learnt something new - thanks, doesn't happen often. So this explains why I see so many Botswana cars that are not left-hand drive (that one I do understand).

I wonder then. Do you pay less fines (and one day open tolls) with those botswana cars.

F'ing local industry - I feel feathers for them. They have been screwing us harder than I knew for years.
