Cars you really shouldn't consider...

recently French cars have become really good looking. Seriously considering owning one.
 
My wife would also really like the new Picasso and I must admit its a good looking car, but considering the extremely poor service we have received from them and their utter lack of urgency on the acquisition of parts I just cannot bring myself to buy a french car again.

Yeah. I'm not really a sporting driver, so I'd appreciate the super low NVH and hydraulic suspension of the C5. Plus the 3.0 tdi has plenty of grunt for overtaking and is relatively frugal. The other thing about it is that it's a little different from the 568456423460278738264 3 series, A4s and C-classes out there. Still, it's not a "smart" buy.

Here's my list of cars you shouldn't bother looking at, but want to(in the case of the Alfa's and the BMW's)

Any M3 more than 100 000kms
Any M5 more than 100 000kms
Any newish Alfa - pre-Brera/159/MiTo/Giulietta
Any Pugeot
Any VW without aircon for more than R90 000
Audi TT - first generation
Any Chana
Any Indian car...not now, let them get more mature like the Korlean cars
Any Toyota, because they are just the most boring cars on the roads these days!

There's my list of leave alones!

Maintenance costs may be somewhat excessive though, sadly. There's a lot of technology in there.

If it weren't for the maintenance costs, I'd actually be rather tempted to buy that thing - it's done less than 5000km per year only!
