Well thats my take on it. They seem to have made some very promising headway but at the end they havent concluded anything. I feel that with what they have (and they say they will be passing it on to the authorities shortly) there is sufficient reason for the authorities to declare the area a crime scene and to continue searching.

My problem is that they shouldnt have aired until the authorities have declared it a crime scene. I think the whole thing should have been put on hold until the area can be secured by the police. I fear a whole lot of idiots are currently on their way with spades as we speak to start digging....

Something tells me it's a setup - the cops are staking out the area to catch the interested parties. Someone else involved is en route with a spade and they want to nail him/her. Remember they found bones of more folk than they expected. The whole affair was not completely figured out - the cops maintain that he shot her then himself when being chased. Others say they were shot by the cops, for some reason I think there's more to this - such a big case, so many kids and no-one has answers - maybe ex cops were involved in some sort of ring. Then again, speculation doesn't help anything.

True. Let's have a look at some of the things said:

1. It is based on quantum science plus GPS location.
2. He took multiple readings from various points in order to get an accurate location.
3. Forensic lab said that the DNA found in the sample bones tested was so degraded that accurate identification was not possible.

Now:

1. I can't argue that quantum science is totally ruled out (maybe a physicist can comment), although I do seriously doubt it's use in this case, GPS can give a resolution of a couple of meters, so it should be possible to pinpoint location to say 25 sq meters ...

2. Leaving aside the GPS part of 1 above, 3 readings, 120 degrees apart, would allow triangulation of hight accuracy, if only the direction can be determined.

3. So the DNA tests show that, with the samples supplied, there is insufficient evidence to identify the four girls for whom hair samples were supplied by their parents. Equally using mothers' DNA was equally inconclusive. I am sure that had the lab found a definite positive then this would have stated very emphatically. But nothing emphatic was said, only weak innuendo.

Finally, as stated elsewhere, if the electronic system did that purported, then I am sure it would have been put under world wide patent and be a standard tool used by all police forces and its inventor would have been put up for a Nobel Physics prize. But it isn't an hs hasn't been.

Is it a scam? Maybe a Google of radionics will help in reaching a conclusion.

How does this guys equipment work. I dont see how it is possible to do wot he does. How can his equipment pick up the where the physical trace of the person is, what technology does he use, ive neva herd of anything that can do that. How does he use satilites? Sure its great if it works and they do ultimately find the girls. I just think if it works so well, then the police should try and buy the technology off this guy to help solve more cases. (If anyone has any idea of how this guy's equipment works, please reply)

One has to wonder how it's possible to get a DNA profile on a dinosaur (such as the one obtained for the T-Rex specimen) which is supposedly millions of years old. Or is it just SA that has a hard time with 20 year old bones?

His 'science' looks very suspect to me. He walks around with one plastic case and a GPS, and can trace people to Gauteng, from another province? If he didnt find that field, I would just say 'ya right', but last nights carte blanche just made me believe him.

The psycic also confirmed his predictions. And btw, if you havent seen her in action (few years ago on channel 35 - 'Die Ander Kant') shes DAMN good.

If his technology really works as he says. He should def patent it, and sell it to police forces worldwide - he would become super rich. If he can find 18 year old bones from a few locks of hair - just imagine how many murder cases can be solved.

What a load of rubbish, this guy is a con through and through! There's no way you can use GPS to locate people using hair samples - it's shameful that Carte Blanche broadcasts this trash.

If he was a clairvoyant, then fine I would be stoked that he's using his psychic ability to find these bodies, but claiming that quantum physics is behind it is complete boloney.

The show was extremely disappointing. The huge build up was nothing but a feable attempt to boost ratings of show that is fast approaching its sell-by date. I can't remember when last CB broke a major story.

My summary of this week's show:
1. Some chap has invented a magic device that can trace a dead body anywhere in the world if he has a sample of the dead body (like a hair). He claims it is a scientific invention but refuses to explain how it works. Unfortunately he has mysteriously been correct enough times to create a believer-base in his invention (most notable the staff of CB).
2. The chap used the magic device to "apparently" indicate where a some missing girls from the 80's may be buried (how convenient to pin point an open field near where the chief suspects lived)
3. They find nothing
4. They hire a clairevoiyant who mysteriously agrees with the magic device.
5. CB then digs up about ten square meters of the huge plot and comes accross a bunch of bone fragments.
4. They send the bone fragments to DNA specialists who spend five months working on them (causing a huge backlog for the courts with current cases?)
5. The bone fragments turn out to be human.
6. Show ends with CB hoping the police will dig up the rest of the plot.

I don't know what to say! CB is going downhill super fast. Now they basing "ground-breaking" journalism on magic and pyschics.

There was no DNA profile on the T-Rex, it was testing reactions of collagen structures in the bone.

Let's think about it this way,

Fire, who ever thought out of a spark, something could ignite and fire could be created?

I think there's a lot in the elements which haven't been tapped into, technology is synthetics, it's not really real, but this dude spoke about his "energy source", that's what I'm interested in.

He was sincere though, I totally agree with you, and I don't think he's after money, otherwise he would be stinking rich and forgetting about missing people

I would rather have him be stinking rich while allowing his gadget to help with countless criminal cases worldwide, than keeping it to himself and only handling a select few by himself. Doesn't make much sense does it? So the question is why is he keeping it to himself? This is Nobel Prize-winning stuff if it's everything he says it is, and it's not exactly new because he's been featured before. Surely there must be some reason why he hasn't been making headline news worldwide?

So much for the big revelation. So much for anything actually connected to the missing girls. Just a really decent looking guy with a mysterious machine, a strange psychic, and a whole lot of emotional pain dredged up for nothing for the parents.

Just a really decent looking guy with a mysterious machine, a strange psychic, and a whole lot of emotional pain dredged up for nothing for the parents.

Maybe they stumbled upon some super duper archeological site and they are now trying to create DNA profiles of a billion year old hominid who lived near future spoornet sites... grinding the bones to powder in the hope that they will solve this 20 year old crime.

All I can say is I really hope this whole episode only helps to bring more peace to those families.
