I found it suprising that CB drew similarities between the conscription of young white south Africans during the Apartheid era and the current conscription of all Jewish people in Israel.

I forgot those people were objecting to serving in a military Britain was using to illegally occupy Europe. Good thing the Germans came along and rectified the situation.

You have to wonder who is pulling the strings behind these people. SA was caught up in an extension of the cold war and was involved in curbing the ideology of communism and its agressive expansion. Israel is struggling against Islamism (is that a word?) and its expansion.

There are other issues that are in the pot too. SA had apartheid and Israel has the Palestinians. Quite convenient to cloud the issues if you are trying to undermine a country.

I suppose that you could still be a consciencous objector along the lines of 'I am quite happy to shoot a terrorist in the face but don't ask me to occupy his house'.

Well the commies were anti Israel too supporting the various regimes that attempted to destroy her. Notice the one guy refer to his black 'comrades'. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that
