Hi,

Is there anyone who could maybe give some advice. My problem is as follows:

There are 2 pc's in my house that makes use of my internet connection (via ICS). Before i had broadband, i used a proxy server on my pc (CCProxy), that enabled me to limit how much of the bandwith the other pc's were using. This setup worked fine since my pc connected to the internet via a modem, and the others just connect via the proxy.

But now, I have a dsl router (Telkom Mega 105WR) with my pc connected to it, and i cant seem to get the proxy settings to work (in fact i dont even know if this is possible with the Telkom router).

Is there anyone who has done something similar? Please advise. I need to work sparingly with my cap :D

I don't know if that router supports bridge mode, but if it does then download and install RASPPPOE (if you're using XP) and use it to create dial up connections. Might work :P

How are all the pc's now connected? Via the DSL Router?

Thanx for replies.

My pc is connected via the router. I am able to connect the others too, but would prefer that these pc's go via a proxy on my pc so that i can limit the bandwidth used by them.

The modem does have a bridge mode. Will do some research and see if that works.

yip - set the router to do bridge mode dialing.

then let 1 pc do the dialing (this account is then ICS'ed like a normal acc).
