From my experience, they seem to work well, however don't use it as an extraction fan as it's located above the CPU heatsink fan - this would cause problems with the CPU fan not pulling in enough cool air. I've always used the front case fans for intake of cool air and the rear case fans for extraction of warm air - works very well if you tidy up the cabling inside...
I actually removed the fan that was between the case side and the duct, and adjusted the duct length to be right above the CPU fan - this pulls in cooler air for the CPU only.
Your's doesn't seem to have a filter on the trap from what I can see on the picture - it looks like it's resting on a carpet? :
You can get one to fit on the outside of the case if you think you need one - try Sybaritic, I got mine from them, but don't see it listed any more, like these:
Thanks for the replies guys, I`ll try find one of those dust filters. Just one more question - I need to buy a few fans for the front and back of my computer, what is considered the best brand of case fans?
there are plenty of good brands . . . and different colors/designs . . . some are noisier than others and some push more air than other . . . depending on the actual speed and design.
There are many brilliant fans... most of which can't be bought in SA. If you really want a good, silent fan, head over to Amazon. Otherwise, locally, you're probably best off going for a Zalman or Antec fan. And use 120mm ones wherever you can. Head to over to silentpcreview.com if you're interested in finding out.
