Much closer than a Caster Semenya race anyway. And let's face it, South Africa's most famous football star (because a political football is what she has become) is not just winning the race on the track, she is winning it in the column inch department as well. Hayibo HQ even got a press release on the subject from that most eloquent of spokespeople Floyd "sleeping around means sleeping around" Shivambu.

In it he said: "The ANC YL has interacted with Athletics South Africa and established that there was never a legitimate test conducted on Caster Semenya and all basic principles of medical tests are grossly violated. The ANC YL calls on the IAAF to distance itself from the Australian Media reports, and in line with basic medical ethics illegitimate any test done on Caster Semenya without her concern. Even if a test is done, the ANC YL will never accept the categorisation of Caster Semenya as a hermaphrodite, because in South Africa and the entire world of sanity, such does not exist. The basic, traditional and known method to determine gender has classified Caster Semenya as female and to us she will remain a female..."

Yes, Hayibo may be the second best source of made up news after the SABC, but some stuff even we can't make up. Where did they find the people who wrote this? Probably on the backseat of a chaffeur driven a BMW 750i. It's as good a place as any to start looking!

Please don't tell me that they actually send that to a satire website. Floyd, what an idiot. If it was not for politics this fool would be out washing car windows at stop streets.

If she is woman by mind even when her body has some variations she is woman.. if she is hermaphrodite in mind and body then she is true hermaphrodite, in this case she is woman because she is woman and is in the feminin gender role and entered in the race as female, therefore she is woman... if it wasnt for her genetics or body formation, she would have been accused of steroids. Testosterone in a sence is a natural steroid which can explain why men in general are agressive by nature.

I think this whole argument and objection and tests violates her rights as a person and as a woman.

Yes third gender varients do exist, but society as a whole on this planet does not have time, or space or even thaught and respect for them which makes me vomit. Its another form of "racism" that exists, and between all races predominantly by the male gender of this humanity.
In time the humanity on this planet, the male gender will fade from existence and the third gender and females would keep it alive.

Please understand this - ideally there should be no racism, sexism or eliteism. Yet there is. In sport at least - we divide people according to gender because women can't compete with men in terms of physical abilities. Hence we artificially divided these sporting events between men and women and the reasoning is that MEN because of their testosterone levels have more developed physiques and therefore have an advantage. In this regard Caster Semenya was tested for elevated testosterone and possibly secondary reasons for that. Whatever the reasons her testosterone level is elevated it is unfair for the OTHER FEMALE PARTICIPANTS. THEIR RIGHTS are violated when they have normal range testosterone their whole lives and someone comes along with high levels and better musculature and beats them. Otherwise these women may as well also take anabolic steroids (which is unhealthy) to bring themselves on par with Caster Semenya - and we all know that won't be allowed. Caster Semenya did not ask to have this problem but she has it and she did chose to compete in professional athletics. No-one held a gun to her head and forced her to become an athlete. She most likely did it because she was succeeding in the sport because of her hormonal advantages.

She can either keep her human rights and withdraw OR be subjected to testing (as any other woman on the team). If found she had an advantage - whether intentional or not, she should be disqualified. It's sad for her but think of the other female competitors - 99% of which do not have these hormonal advantages. It's unfair to them.
 
The fact is that caster won't be able to compete again, whether politicians, malema or the IAAF like it or not. It is sad that they are using her as a political toy/dog...

The sport is divided into male and female categories, not high and low testosterone categories. If the base reason for segmenting the sport is the level of testosterone, then they need to formally differentiate it that way, with min and max levels of testosterone.

So they rule on this in favour of Casta, will they give the doping ladies their medals back? Of course there are levels they test. If it is higher thatn it is suppose to be they test you for dope. If you pass that they test your gender.

It would be very unfair to have her compete with those levels of testosterone and take other womans medals away when they competed with high levels.

Are there rules dictating maximum levels of testosterone? If so, no need to worry about gender testing.

As for fairness - what if her level of testosterone is perfectly natural, albeit unusual? Should all athletes have the same level of testosterone in order to level the playing field?
 
The olympics is actually not setup for the athletes, it is only around for one reason, because of spectators. Do the majority of spectators want womens olympics to be overtaken by hermaphrodites? The answer is no, and it's really that simple.

The thing is what is "normal" and yes it is not normal for a woman to have that high level of testosterone. Even it is natural for her its not normal for her, If she went to a gynea or doctor they would put her on medication to regulate that. If Casta is a "normal woman" that level of testosterone would not be natural.

It is very difficult. We want to cut out Casta’s Testes but that would mean she would go into early menopause and have all those symptoms. So she would go onto hormone treatments and because she has normal levels of testosterone she would slow down dramatically.

I am talking under correction though. But if this was natural and normal would all our female athletes not have high levels of testosterone? And then supplementing your testosterone levels would not have been illegal .
