Hi,
I want to bring my router next to my inverter and to go from my Vumatel box to the new router location, (where the PC + TV are), to do that, I need to buy a 15m cable. (I have checked, my inverted can take the extra load and Vumatel claims they are up during loadshedding).
That should allow me to have TV+PC+Internet during the daily 4hrs down time, (as I don't have DSTV, my TV is pretty much useless without internet).
After a bit of searching around, CAT6 is apparently the best cable type to get. ...
But I am not sure if I can use it with my setup, I have a Vumatel line as well as a Cool Ideas modem, TP-LINK WR840N I think, (https://www.tp-link.com/za/home-networking/wifi-router/tl-wr840n/)
Can I get a CAT6 cable?
Is 15 meters from the box to modem too far?
Thanks
