Cat S60 ,2G only

I recently received a cat S60 from the US. The problem I have with this phone, there's no 3G 4G . I have reset and reset it ,still the 2G won't budge . I went to my service provider cell c to,they were more baffled than myself ,I was told I'm not getting 3G and 4G because the phone does not have an email address .I did try other sim cards still the 2G .please help !!!

Under Settings > More > Mobile networks what does the Preferred network type say and can you change it?

This is because of dual SIM functionality:

My Vodacom SIM is used for voice calls and SMS only so set to 2G only (because both can't be LTE/3G/2G):


While my Telkom SIM is used for data, so its set to LTE/3G/2G:

Its not a dual sim . Theres only one slot available for the simcard

All else working fine ,perfect calls . Lagging internet . 2G

Everything should be working fine as North American s60 uses same 2g bands as SA, but different bands for 3g&4g so they won't work.

Oh dearie me ,so no codes available to make this phone work in south africa or just get a locally available s60 ?
