Hi everyone

I had an old CBI Astute Wifi Smart timer layong around - and figured incould fit this to my archaic pool timer (especially to manage load shedding messing with my times)... but i am having some difficulty...i attached a picture of the cirrent timer... i figured a simple plug and play would work, reds in to live and black in neutral... but the white wire actually controls the timer...

Any help appreciated please.

3 and 4 are incoming live and netral allways powered .centre of the 3 common is allways live ,rhs is the normally closed contact and the lhs is the switched contact according to time on selected

Thank you for the help....but how do i make your diagram work on a time that only jas 2 x L and 1x N

switched wire from astute would have to go to lhs live of common 3 terminals to turn pump on .ie
L...... common ......rhs .nc contact

You sure the black one isn't neutral?
astute would have to go to lhs live to turn pump on .
So what i did was take the 2 x red cables and fit them in L on the timer and then the black cable on N in the timer... but got nothing.

Are you saying i must only take the one red and black for the LHS to make it work? And how would that look

rhs 3 terminals have no neutral they only switch live wires the only neutral is on 4 with permanent live on 3 .NO NEUTRALs ON Rhs terminals

Geesuz...I'm really dof...can you, for the sake of both our sanity rather just tell me what color cable goes where

I know which side LHS and RHS is but if you could tell me something like...the LHS red cable goes her and the RHS red cable goes there.

i cant cause i dont know the colours used ,you need to trace live in neutral in and live out to pump .you only need one live to the pump timer as per pic the live from astute will go to pump

ok red from pump cable goes to lhs of 3 ,red incoming goes to centre and 3 of timer ,white no clue

But where do i put those cable....on this thing.

your astute will then connect to the lhs of 3 with the outgoing to cable to pump

or if you do away with the old timer the single red from the pump cable goes into the lower terminal of the astute and thats it

I'm doing away with the old timer...so would need wiring for that
all you then need is remove the white link ,the red from the thin black cable goes into the bottom of the astute ,permanent L and N into the top of astute .ie the black wire to neutral on asc and the remaining red to L on asc
