Awesome thanks a mil! I was on the CBT website today and they don't seem to have the new CCNA material...only still the ICND1 and 2.

They have videos for both the new CCNA and old CCNA, you must look at the exam code. ICND1 100-101 and INCD2 200-101 is for the new CCNA. You can do the 1 exam or 2 exam path. Doing the 2 exam path you get a CCENT certification by just passing ICND1 and when you pass ICND2 you get the full CCNA R&S certification as to the 1 exam path only gives you CCNA R&S. You use ICND1 and ICND2 material for the 1 exam path which is the 200-120 exam.

Here are the links to the new videos.

You can usually expect around 6 months before training material is released by them

The new CCNA stuff has been out for sometime at CBT nuggets. I also must say the new CCNA curriculum is much better than before. Watched the videos just because it was so great!

OK - I've looked everywhere now and I do not find any CBT Nuggets on the new CCNA R&S 200-120 cert...any help?

I see the individual icnd1 and 2 are on the cbt website?
Why not just study them separately but write the single exam

You think that will work for sure? I don't just wana do the cheat sheet things - I wana actually learn the stuff. Just don't wana spend hours learning the 100-101 and 200-101 nuggets and then its wrong :)

You are spending more time questioning people than investing in learning. If you want to get your CCNA you need to do the ICND1 and ICND2 study material. They cover the same topics. Only using the CBT nuggets and thinking you will pass isnt always the case. Get the study guides as well. :D

@ Mark staunchy20 got his CCNA Last month. So you can bank on his advice...

Great advice. It's easy to get swamped by all the material out there. For CCNA I would recommend studying in this order:
1. Nugget videos (if you have no networking background or want a quick refresher).
2. Study the official printed material (this should be where you spend 50% of your total study time)
3. Study the dumps.
(a.) To understand the type of questions Cisco will ask.
(b.) VERY NB!!! To get an idea of much time to spend on each multiple choice/simulator question.
4. Practice the simulator questions. Packet Tracer is the easiest to get running and is perfectly fine for CCNA.

Not sure if it was mentioned earlier but you can find answers to the SIM questions here: http://www.9tut.com UNDERSTAND what you're doing and if you don't use the forums for advice/questions.

Dont waste any more time now. Get studying :)

The videos you need to prepare for CCNA R&S 200-120 composite exam are ICND1 100-101 and ICND2 200-101. The

CCNA R&S 200-120 Official Cert Guide Library
are the ICND1 100-101 and ICND2 200-101 separate study guides just packaged into a single box. There is not a different study guide for CCNA 200-120 exam and another for the 2 exams.

You use ICND1 100-101 and ICND2 200-101 study material to prepare for either 2 exam or 1 exam path.

If you need any more info pm me.

Inspiring thread :). Appreciate everyone who has provided feedback.

One question, what advice do you have for those of us who are doing this as a self study? It is taking me far too long but i am not giving up on finishing it. My reason for going the Cisco way is to expand my ability and not for the money at all as i feel the same regarding doing what you love. It is also the reason i left my previous job to further myself.

admittedly i can say that one of the reasons it has taken me a long time is i have trying to finish it from home and we are familiar with how distracting this can be. I plan to start doing some work from home so lookout for a thread on that :).

Ahhh thats easy.... Book the exam.... then you would see how fast you can get things done. I studied for my CCNA almost three years would still have been studying if I didn't just book the exams. When you book an exam you are materializing your goals. Then you start taking action to accomplish them.

I would suggest also looking into juniper.
We are starting to push a lot of juniper product because the pricing is very good and their non security / UTM devices are excellent. I would say there is a shortage of juniper skills, so if you know your stuff you have more chance of landing a position.
