Hey guys wanted to know if you guys could tell me if a Asus P8P67 mobo with Corsair Dominator Ram (with the extra fans) is compatible with a coolermaster V6.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately it looks not.
I drew up the dimensions and:
1. Chances are that the on-board heat-sinks with interfere with the cooling
2. There is also an overlap into the memory slots, so slot 1 might be inaccessable altogether.

Trying to upload an image now, but have to do it via phone, as work blocks just about anything.

The V6 GT fits, so I would imagine that the V6 also fits. Those motherboard heatsinks are pretty low. I have no idea about the ram, though, but I would rather use Corsair's Vengeance ram, made specifically for SB at 1.5v.

I think this will serve best with gauging sizes. The CPU coolers are much the same size, and as Rudimental pointed out, should clear the on-board heatsinks. I also agree that something like Vengeance RAM would work best. Adding cooling fans to the RAM might marginally increase performance, but it's going to end up sounds like a lawnmower rather than PC. Plus that RAM pointed out just looks darn right sexy.

Look at the Gskill Ripjaw ram at wootwate. Also for Sandybridge, and much much cheaper.

Seeing that i already have the mobo(P8P67), ram(dominators 4x2gb+ram fan) , psu , case , gfx and hdd. Im only waiting for the CPU (2600k). Last week i only clicked that my gemini II wont fit on it even if i rotate it. So now i was looking at the V6. If push comes to shove ill just let it run on one fan although i would like both to work. Any other heatsinks you guys would recommend that would fit in between my ram and motherboard heatsinks .... ? comanche ta for drawing up those dimensions :)
