I would say that charging a premium for credit card transactions would be bad form. Their discount is passing on the saving which is fair.

That's just semantics. Obviously it's effectively the exact same thing. Bottom line is that Visa and Mastercard both specifically prohibit merchants from charging different prices for credit card and cash purchases. Whether that's in the form of a discount for cash purchases or a premium for CC purchases makes no difference. The issue is that you are still discriminating against people who want to pay by credit card.

When you pay by EFT you are potentially exposing yourself to a much bigger risk of fraud and you have almost no recourse should things go wrong.

They were created in Jan this year, and registered to a Mark Bichener. There is a reference to a Beverley Bichener as well via their yahoo.com email address.

Beverley's LinkedIn Profile is more than slightly sparse. 1 connection.

There is no physical address mentioned, and only a cellphone number to contact on.

There is also a mention of a Mark Bichener in FastWay Couriers sales figures (publicly available on the internet) in relation to "Toys". They also seem to reference themselves as from RandPark Ridge, Roodepoort or Weltevreden Park.

I'm not saying they're dodgy, but I would be very wary of handing over any money to them before doing some serious investigation.

If you want what they sell, which is chinese no name brand kits then I have a guy, I can pm you his info. Both he and cctv direct sell on Bidorbuy, I recently purchased 8 channel kit with cameras and cable for around R2200. It works ok,
i havent finished setting it all up - I do have the 8 cameras all connected, just need to figure out how to connect to internet and all that jazz.

Hi, please can you PM me this info. Looking for a reasonably priced (ie. cheap) 8 cam/DVR set up for our place. The K Guard kits are a bit pricey.

Reply: I dont think the Beverley Bichener on LinkedIn is connected to the business. My experience however, has been that its very difficult to get hold of Mark Bichener. He isnt very good at answering phone calls or messages.
