I have installed a new 16 channel CCTV system. I am trying to setup remote viewing on laptop and phones but I am stuck.
Problem 1 is that it appears my router and 3g wifi routers "clash". The router I am using to connect the DVR to laptop is an Axesstel MV401 with no active subscribtion. I only want to view on phone within wifi range. It used to work fine with the old 4 channel system. There seems to be a clash with my 3g Wifi router. If I want to access Internet I must unplug the MV401 and visa versa.
The routers IP address is 192.168.0.1
The DVR is 192.168.0.9
The gateway is 192.168.0.1
The submask is 155.255.255.0
The port on DVR is 1025
The status of the router remains offline no matter what I do. I am able to ping both router and DVR and can access remote management system and log in but no more. I am not clued up enough about this so if anyone can point me in the right direction it will be much appreciated
Thanks
Bert
