Cctv on during loadshedding

I am cutting non essentials now and just keeping my internet alive so as to not harm batteries

Mine stopped charge 6 hours 5 minutes after load shedding.

I'm trying to find the correlation between the cut wire, her not being able to see anything on the footage, and her need for backup power

There was a crime (theft) and they can't see what happened (on the CCTV system) because it likely occurred during loadshedding (CCTV was off since it does not have backup power).

I am just curious how the cutting of a wire enabled the crime to happen, does the gate have a magnetic lock and cutting it turned it off? Do they mean chain instead of wire? Do they mean electric fence wire? So many questions, so little answers.

Yeah.

It cannot be a magnetic lock because that defaults to closed, ie. you need to apply current to open the lock. So that can't be it.

This goddamn cut wire!!!
