Hi All,

Trying to assist a family member with cctv, from the options out there seems like the Hikvision is a good option (Besides the security for the online part - That will be dealt with)

Option 1 - Hikvision 1080p 8 Channel Turbo HD CCTV Kit w/1TB Hard Drive (DS-7108HGHI-F1 )
Option 2 - They got a quote for Rivolt that was expensive!

Any good IP Hikvisions people can recommend?

Thanks

Go with option 1, but keep in mind the recording resolution on this model is not real 1080p but "1080p lite" which I understand to be a variation of 720p. Also only supports 960p IP cameras and not 1080p. Good enough for the average home and cost-effective.

For real 1080p and hybrid support (IP camera + analogue) go with DS7108-HQHI-K1 (costs more).

For Hikvision, HQHI is better video recording quality than HGHI models. HQHI costs more. HUHI can support 8MP cameras and has better recording resolution than HQHI. (Model dependent and subject to change).
