Hi guys,
I ordered this CCTV system off amazon on a whim, looked like a good deal: https://www.amazon.com/Zmodo-Surveillance-Camera-Outdoor-Security/dp/B01KZT6MHU/ref=pd_cart_vw_2_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=7WABP2FWVTXMCER7BJVZ
Just two questions:
1) The system is sPOE. The cameras have a mini-usb jack which connects into a jack that becomes the CAT5 cable into the NVR. A freind is bringing the system back with him, and I was wondering if it would be possible to cut the mini-usb jack off the long length cable? Will I be able to reconnect the mini-usb to ethernet jack onto a normal CAT5 cable? Obvioulsy I am just trying to make it as light a possible.
2) The power supply is DC19V, 4A. Is this going to be an issue I couldnt resolve with a step down / transformer? What are my options?
Anyone else have any experience with Zmodo systems?
Thanking you.
