Say I install a cctv system at home, can one let certain camera's be made visible to a monitoring company, eg street view cameras, while I may still monitor everythink on my "cellphone"

Not familiar with CCTV, but Im sure you can. ... If not watched 24/7, im sure it can trigger an alarm for them to see why ??

Someone else might have the correct answer

yeah I have a Wyze Cam v3 (outdoor and waterproof, it is wired for power but wireless on the internet) and you can 'share' the access to whoever you want. It's only a basic little camera, but it has detections and alarms etc. Can be a bit finicky when the power or internet goes down but it works well. The camera was only R895

If you think that operators are going to watch your cameras 24/7 and send security cars out to alerts, you are wrong. People are really **** at this, needs to be done via strong AI and automation. Just first hand seeing security companies who cant see that their own guards are fast asleep (as the operators are asleep too)

yeah, depending on the dvr you can open certain ports to the net on your router and forward them (so your phone can get every substream), and then have a pi host an http stream(s) of the cameras you want specifically on a different port and hand that URL over to whoever you want to have access to it

youll need someone competent to set up the firewalls correctly and make sure there are necessary passwords and user rights in place
