Hi. I ported to cell c a month ago, mainly for their super charge thing. My data and airtime just disappeared. Twice now. Data and all. 1.2 gigs (super charge) plus R400. Called them an they say the data usage is valid. 500 megs lasted almost the whole month with telkom. Anyone having the same crap with cell c.

check if your data had an expiry? Might have expired within 7 days or one of these T&C type things.

And CellC's OOB data rate is through the roof (99c iirc) AND they do not notify prepaid customers when data bundles deplete.

The problem with Cellc is that supacharge benefits expire after a certain amount of days. You need to recharge with R300 or more to have the supacharge benefits last atleast a month.

No. Its twenty days or so. Cell c is rubbish. Going to port. No wonder they have to advertise so much. Moving back to my old network.

R70 - R150 - valid for 7 Days,
R150 - R300 - valid for 15 days
R300 - R500 - valid for 30 days

You never mentioned data usage... Maybe apps are using data?

Dude I dont want to advertise for any network. My 500mb data is working just fine on my other phone. Now ask what network. Games, fb, and all.

Same settings before I ported the phone. Ive been on this phone (s3) now this whole morning. No missing data or airtime. My s4 is just sitting here. Im just a litte worked up and im not putting anymore cash on it. Well, till I port it again.

so its a different phone then?

have you made sure to set it up to not use so much data?

I didnt have missing airtime and data on my previous network. Whatever im not going to be with them much longer. They can keep the cash and their super charge crap. Negative marketing is a mother. I bet im not the only one.

Dude, it seems more like user ignorance than the network stealing your data. You still haven't told us what apps are using data.

Is it the same phone or a new phone?

Currently, all i'm seeing is someone bitching about something without actually trying to figure out what the issue MIGHT be.

I've never had missing airtime/data on any network, there has always been a reason its been used

Just go to cellc.co.za click on my account. Register there and view detailed usage of your account with dates and times to see if the data expired or got used.

Its available for both prepaid and contract users.... :)

Well currently someone from cell c called and there is a problem. Why do I feel like I have cell c employees here. And I have never had data and airtime just dissappear as well, till this incident. Its two phones by the way. Both were on the same network and I changed one to cell c. One is working just fine.

Dude do you feel better now after your rant. Maybe now you can answer some of the questions that were asked.

Golden rule I always follow... never port to a new network until you have tried it out first.... This makes it easier to decide whether to jump ship or not. Are you sure your apps on your phone did not auto update or something?

How would you try a network out first. My apps all update on wifi or ask for permission. So thats not it.
