Hi,
I've read a bit on the forums before posting which helped quite a bit. Thank you guys for the good content available.
Our company has split and the second branch is relocating to new premises. There is currently no ADSL available in the area and a diginet line is too expensive.
I'm looking at getting the fast Cell C 3G data card with a router (I've read that it will support up to 5 users)

My questions are:
What would be the speed decrease be per user connected and could it support +/- 10-15 users?
Would it be a good connection for 5/6 users to connect to a remote server?
Would this be a good solution overall?

Any thoughts and input from you guys would be appreciated.
Thanks,

5/6 users? Do you mean wireless connections? Most routers have a couple of LAN ports and for more connections you can get a cheap switch.

The speed decrease would be minimal if you intend to use only 5 GB per month.

If the remote server will be on Cell C as well, that won't work as they don't support incoming connections yet.

Being a business I'd suggest then keeping a MTN or Vodacom prepaid sim on backup incase Cell C goes down.

EDIT: And do borrow a laptop and modem from someone and go and check connectivity at the site before committing.

Thank you for you quick reply.

We've already spoken to Cell C and they will provide us with a test 3G as we are not sure about coverage in the area.
The router will have LAN ports and will be connected to a Linux box with firewall and all connections will be managed through that box.
The remote connection is currently running on Mweb Uncapped ADSL (Business 4Meg) so it won't be a problem for incomming connections.
We currently have Vodacom 3G cards as our back-up through a proxy server.

My main concern is coverage and speed for the remote users via terminal server.
