Ok.
So since I dont have a credit rating, my father applied for a contract for him and myself with Cell C for the Galaxy S5 on Saturday 19/04.
He brought a 3 month statement, proof of address and his ID (the usual)
They did a credit vet on him and discovered something on his name. This was sorted out with the bank due to an issue on their side. So he obtained the letter from the bank and dropped it off by Cell C TygerValley on Tuesday 22nd. We were told previously that if we can provide the letter, then he would be approved then an there. So when we dropped it off, they told us that they would need to send the letter to their head office to be approved.
My father then got a phone call from Cell C yesterday 23/04, stating that the letter was approved, but now they want his TAX documents as proof that he is earning an income.

I thought the 3 month statement was proof of an income.

He obtained the letter today and after he contacted them, he was told that it might only be approved tomorrow or next week.

This approval process is being completely dragged out now. I can understand the letter from the bank, but TAX documents as well?

We both urgently need new phones due to my screen being broken (my fault), my charger port is completely worn out due to constant use and I only have an average of 4 hours battery life on my phone (Galaxy S2, bought on contract through virgin mobile, battery has been faulty since day 1 and they refused to replace it). My fathers phone also broke due to something wrong with the software. The phone freezes on the "Samsung" Screen and we cant even access the back-end of the phone to do a software install. (Phone freezes on android logo).
iFix wants to charge R2500 to repair the phone.

So we are both stuck without working phones while Cell C is asking for documentation to prove an income while my father has already provided proof of an income.

As stated before, I would of opened up a contract on my name, but I do not have a credit rating.

Just needed to vent a little.

In contrast VC approved my contract before I had reached the end of the page & signed on the dotted line....literally.
