Cell C bill stumps user

cell c once again screwing up sadly and making the customer pay

Could it be that her handset wasn't using GPRS but rather dialling each time it made a data connectioni?

Cell C suck something bad man, the stories i could tell you about them, finally my fiancee has agreed to switch to vodacom in july when her contract with this pathetic excuse of a cell company comes to an end.

Its kinda ironic that she is dialing Cointel as she is on CellC considering that Cointel is a Vodacom owned company and they do not do (if at all) much CellC OBS billing... just my R1,72s worth of info ... oh damn ... she just got billed again, sorry

Perhaps one of the buttons which might be associated with a speed dial gets stuck, does she have this number as one of her contacts? Mmm is cointel a WASP? and do they sell airtime?

hahaha welcome to cell c! good luck trying to get this sorted out, their helpdesk sucks. the 5 people I know who had cell c contracts all were billed for 1-3 months after their contracts expired, I had to phone about 10 times up to 20 minutes at a time to try sort it out, eventually i just gave up. They said yes they are aware that they sometimes over charge, but its the customers responsibility to follow it up!!
They came to my mom a year after her contract expired, said she underpaid on her account, and so suspended my account!! when we figured out that it was actually their mistake they reconnected my phone and charged me a reconnection fee!!!
they then phoned me about a year after my contract had expired and told me that I had won a phone, all I had to do was pay R100 connection fee- when I dug a bit deeper I realised it was a R100 a month for 2 years ie a normal contract!!
I have a friend who hates them so much after how they treated him, that he regularly sends out sms's to random numbers telling them never to use cell C- hahahaha

I'm not surprised. Cell C has to be the worst Cellphone service provider ever!

I'm just glad I canceled my contract with them.

To me it sounds like the phone was being used as a modem. Perhaps with an auto connect feature. Ouch!!

Either way Cell C should be able to pick up such rediculous usage. It's normally called Customer Service!!

Check you bills guys, it's not only cell C. Check how many 0 sec calls you have and feed back. I had this same argument with MTN before which cost me a lot.

Sure they are crap as a network, but if you want to buy a handset for cash (or on prepaid) Cell C seems to have the best and latest models and their prices are lower than buying the handset cash from Vodacom.

Plus the girl working at CellC here in Stellenbosch - she has been there for like 5 years now - she is insanely hot :p even my wife thinks so too! But my wife does not know I wanna do the CellC lady

Same thing happened to my girl friend. Her contract expired in August last year, but she's was billed till January this year. All you'll get is a lousy apology after that, coz they will refund you. Not unless you have the energy to go thru the red-tape of getting your money back!

I'm somehow not surprised...I was offered lower data rates when I upgraded my contract last year, but am still paying R2/Mb not the advertised R1!

To be honest nothing about Cell-C suprises me

They should'nt be even classified as a mobile operator

The only time they seem to respond is on Hellopeter

There helpdesk & support is really pathetic

duh

LET ME GUESS , THEY TOLD HER TO PAY AND THEN THEY WILL INVETSTIGATE, WHAT A BUNCH OF BEE MONKEYS, I WOULD TELL THEM TO THERE FACES TO INVESTIGATE A ROTTEN BANNANA UP THERE ASSES, I LOVE THE FACT THEY THEY DIDNT REPLY TO ANY E MAILS, MORONS!!!!!!!!!!! CELL CRAP:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Cell C is terrible. I have a contract with them, but that's only because the phones are cheap. I use a Vodacom SIM card in said phone.
