I moved from vodacom because they have a "cap" on the amount of data you use on the BIS, so that even when your phone is set on 3G the downloads are incredibly slow at about 8-10 kb/s. I'm now on CellC. Since yesterday 31/07/2012 my downloads are super slow too, same like on the vodacom network. Did CellC implement the "data cap" aswell, or is it a temporary problem. I phone customer care and they couldn't answer me...

Its so messed up, the other day my 3G didn't want to even work, had to use EDGE and it doesn't download fast, yet it had faster speeds than 3G :/

Don't CellC bounce of Vodacom's towers in certain areas? That might be why it still slow.

Cell c coverage in paarl is also not of the best. If the phone is on dual network mode it shows edge so I have to put it on 3g only. That causes trouble when travelling to a place with no 3g and I forgot to switch. Equals no coverage

Same here. I moved from Vodacom to Cell C and my speed is stuck at around 15kb/s where as a few months ago it manages 150kb/s with ease. My signal is great so thats not the problem.
