hi all...Im interested in getting the Cell c broadband sim offer 5Gb for r1999..I have been to the store in PE and spoken to one of the sales consultants..i was quite impressed with the offer and the speed tests he showed me.

how much can i get a 7.2mbps usb modem for,..coz cell c are not selling them at the moment...can anyone point in the right direction....(cell c will be sell them for r690 so i hear)
 
Cell C

Game have the vodacom ones for R599 i think I saw one there. Just use a 3G handset I get great sppeds of of it.
 
Rather spend R400 more to have top of the range dongle :) I wouldn't buy vodacom branded dongle or MTN branded dongle, just rather buy the Cell C dongle you won't regret it, I am able to use the Cell dongle on all 3Networks without any issues or getting disconnected whatsoever

So basically R500 for the 7.2 dongle and R1000 for the 21mbps dongle.
 
Yes, that is correct :) I went to CNA the other day and Vodacom Branded Dongle 21mbps going for R1089.

I bought my Cell C 7.2 dongle for R550. I was about to buy VodaBranded Dongle.
 
I went shopping around Johannesburg at first the guy wanted R750,I think I got the dongle at cost or something, I have seen the same dongle on bid or buy going for R800 nearly..
 
Been arnd PE looking for 7.2mbps modem...went incredible connections, they got the vodacom branded apparently locked to vodacom (can som1 confirm this its. a K3565) for R699..tried the telkom direct they have run out of stock though they are going for R580 getting stock in dec..I have got a mate of a mate that is sellin secondhand vodacom branded K3565 modem for 400..need to find out if these come simlock n how difficult are they to unlock..

Went cell c again apparently they won't be selling their modems standalone ..in the near future only bundled with data..

Just get bundle package from Cell c, best value for money.

7.2 HSDPA modem + 2Gig data per month for R1500 once off.
 
I would recommend getting the Cell C dongle even if you are going to pay R1000 its well worth it plus it won't give you hassles if you want to try out Vodacom or MTN. Just place the sim card in the dongle, once plugged in launch Cell C software and click on Connect :) No changes have to happen whatsoever - I can always shop around here in Johannesburg and if I find it for R550 you willing to pay shipping :)
 
Hmmmm I know someone going to bloem next week and I need internet at my new place... Wonder if I should get this... Even if it only gives EDGE or so type speeds in JHB til it's launched...
 
If you do get the promotion automatically when you take out the offer Cell C authenticate your Cell C sim card for 3G/4Gs, I doubt you'll have any problems in Johannesburg, just remember they testing the network,so, it can be unstable for the duration until launch.. A source tells me Johannesburg will launch end of October/November
 
i have the k3565...vodafone branded from vodacom...went into a cell c store in pe.....popped in the data sim and it worked without needing anything done....
just wanna find out ...is the k3565 3.6 or 7.2 enabled....thanks
