Cell C Contract

Hi,

I took out a Cell C contract in September last year and realized after a few days that the network where I live was terrible (wife was using it so did not pick up on the issue immediately), I then contacted Cell C about the issue, by going into the store and filling in a network issue form. After a couple of days someone got back to me to say that they had adjusted the congestion on the tower and that the issue should be resolved. I waited a week and then contacted them again to inform them that the issue had not been resolved. After making me wait the mandatory week for a response I was told that they would look into the issue and provide feedback. This never happened.

I complained on Hello Peter and received a response quickly to say that I would be contacted. Surprise, surprise!!! This did not happen. I went back to store to find out what my options were and was told that I could keep the contract (with poor/no service) or cancel it at an upfront cost. They said that they had no control over assisting with the issue.

Subsequently, I mailed them AGAIN and even posted another issue on Hello Peter but to no avail. Is there anyone who can assist me in this regard as I am throwing money away every month and no-one at Cell C seems to want to help.

ice, have you tried switching the network mode on the device from GSM/WCDMA to just WCDMA? This will avoid the jumping between vodacom roaming and cell c towers and might resolve your problem if the tower congestion had really been properly optimised.
 
Thanks @astroboi. Will try that.

@Pavan, the issue is not a lack of signal because I get decent coverage on H+/3G but that I can do nothing with it. When I try to test using speedtest.net then it times out or comes back with +/-200kbps. And it jumps up an down like a heartbeat. The signal quality is really bad.
