Cell c data promotion on 24 month contract

Hi Guys,
i have seen a leaflet in one of the cell c stores in joburg.
It has 3 options to get cell c data promotion on contract.
One of them is for R145 for month you get a 2gb data promotion with modem, a cell phone(not fancy) and if i remember correctly 100 free minutes.
This is very useful for the guys who does not have a R1500 or R3000 once off.
Only issue is we have to wait for the launch in joburg.

Are these contract data promotions avilable in other cities where they launched already?

Would u not need two simcards - one for phone and one for modem.
 
would like to test it on prepaid before doing the data promo thing.
 
buddy in Cape Town bought the modem with the 2GB allowance. Then went and cancelled his ADSL because Cell C's speed was apparently so great. And its for his business. Signal in Woodstock area must be really good.

I can believe that, I often get speeds better than 4MB ADSL on Cell C. And the upload speeds are muuuch better than 4MB ADSL, since it's not so asynchronous, seemingly. I don't know if they'll stay quite that decent that i would risk having to go through the process of applying for DSL again ... took Telkom four months to install my line, and even then it only syncs at 384, but I'll be keeping an uncapped DSL account for big downloads, and I use the Cell C for my day to day work stuff where speed really helps ... I can now do my regular big work uploads (I get upload speeds to our US server of 2 to 3Mbits/sec) in minutes instead of hours.

This contract sounds potentially interesting. My main Vodacom contract is due to expire in January and I am keen to cancel it (one can only get butt-raped for so long), I'll definitely see if Cell C is offering anything interesting at that point. If it's a separate modem, could use it for the wife, or one of our employees.

Good news is that if you cancel your adsl line if you request a new one it takes 1-2 weeks so reapply as they already have you on the system (I have done it multiple times before I moved)

But this not a data contract. It is a voice contract which has modem+ 2gb data per month free. There is no chance of you paying out of bundle rate with this. If you want to use more then you have recharge and use it.

is a little too good to be true...
 
look at the DionWired lastest brochure - for R100 x24months, you get a phone +100 Minutes (per minute billing i think), + USB stick + 2GB x12 months of data. At work cannot scan it in.

Yeah crazy...
R100pm * 24 = R2400
Data/modem bunles = R1499
Phone = R899
Plus the minutes etc. Pretty cool if you wanna get a phone for parents/grandparents/kids or something.
 
Do you guys know what is the modem model that you get with these contracts?
