Cell C Fibre any good?

been with them for over 15 months now and only been down twice for a few minutes each way. Cool ideas very good but normal market related prices. Vox is the most competitive at the moment on a 20/20 line. Yes there are cheaper ISP' but from recent experince I'd run a mile from accelrit etc.

Hi there i am planing to get fibre on the Vumatel network i have some providers like cool ideas, home connect, cell c, vox to choose from but i just wanted to know is Cell fibre any good i was looking at this package https://shop.vumatel.co.za/package/41aNUlPhtB any thoughts or must i stay away :)

Thanks
I’ve been with cfibre since April 2017 on vumatel
No complaints ....all issues or downtime due to vumatel
3 months free subscription, installation and setup was hard to resist
If it wasn’t for that I’d be with cool ideas
I average 2TB on 50/50 line
No impact on performance even during 6pm to 11pm

I have issues with them, been with them for 2 years on 20/20, got the full Download and upload speed of about 20-21Mbps.

Now that I have upgraded to 50/50, im getting the full download speed of about 50-51Mbps, But im getting only 27.5Mbps Upload speed. I am paying for 50/50 and my upload speed is capped at 28'ishMbps.

I will move to Cool Ideas.

Stay far away from Cfibre.

Customer service which has been horrible form day 1; for the ISP service it was running smoothly for 6 months then the cracks started showing. Plenty posts on customer service sites will show you this.

Their international service provider is congested and lately the streaming services also seem to have degraded up to the point today where it is worse than what my old Telkom ADSL line was. Netflix stuck in SD, other services buffering every 30 seconds. Fast.com (netlfix) speedtest show 2 to 3 mbps while other speed tests all show 21mbps+; so they are clearly whitelisting speedtest sights or speed test traffic to hide their issues or they are throttling video streaming.

From past experience with FTTB line also stay away from Cybersmart, their 3rd part service providers iutside of the EU is seriously congested (sub 10mbps to US and Asia on 50mbps business packages).

Also considering biting the bullet paying back half the freebies as I'm only at 12months now and switching to either Cool Ideas or RocketNet

PS
In April there was a lot of downtime on the line, CellC immediately blamed Vumatel for the issue but talking with VT and doing a few tests it was clear there was no issue on Vumatels side. Confronting the CellC manager with the evidence they finally admitted that the issues was on their side that their whole western cape network fell over when they tried ti install their own exchange/breakout in Cape Town to Vumatel.
